Locality 85JTP11

This locality occurs in the Lower Killik Tongue of the Chandler Formation of Chapman et al. (1964), now the upper lower half of the Nanushuk Formation of Mull et al. (2003). All fossil samples were recovered from float. Here the dip is into the bluffs and the collection was effectively along strike. Fine lenticular cross-bedded sandstones contained log impressions, ginkgos, Cephalotaxopsis, Podozamites and entire-margined cycadophytes together with a variety of primitive-looking angiosperm leaves.
