These localities belong to the Tuluvak Tongue of the Prince Creek Formation and are of Coniacian age. The fossil specimens at locality USGS 11606 are from siderite nodules within bentonitic clays underlying a prominent coals seam shown in the image on the right. These localities provide the Type Taphoflora for the Tuluvak Floral Phase.
