Description

From Moiseeva (2012) (p. 91)

"Lower fragments of large leaves over 7 cm long and about 10 cm wide, asymmetrical, rounded. Leaf base deeply cordate; apex is missing. Leaf margin entire, slightly undulate.

Venation pinnate, festooned brochidodromous. Conspicuous midrib is 1.0–1.5 mm thick, with alternately branching lateral veins. Two to three lower pairs of secondary veins departing from the midrib at the angles close to the right ones are closer spaced in their starting points than the higher veins deviating at the angles of 45°–50° with intervening intervals of 1.5–2.0 cm. Approximately in the middle of leaf laminae, the lower pairs of secondary veins dichotomizing two to three times form oblong loops of irregular shape, which are collectively rimmed by one to two outward rows of smaller loops. Tertiary venation alternate-percurrent. Thin tertiary veins perpendicular to secondary veins are comparatively frequent (approximately four to five veinlets per 1 cm). Venation
of the fourth order polygonal reticulate, forming ortho- to pentagonal closed areoles with internal branching veinlets of the fifth order. Along the leaf margins there is distinguishable fine brochidodromous venation."
